Sat-South Anna

Post by nancy »

We'll paddle S Anna Sat---see below

The weather looks good for Sat, so Shorn and I really want to paddle.
We're thinking about the S Anna or the Seven Islands section of James.
S Anna is low, but should be doable.
Seven Islands has good level, but is a little further from Va Beach.

Interested? Please post.

Hi Nancy

I'm (and probably Fran and maybe Jann) looking to paddle somewhere Saturday. Either S anna or 7 islands. Doesn't matter to me. Let me know time & place. Did you post on Virginia Paddlers?

Sat- South Anna

We'll paddle the South Anna Sat May 12, meeting at 10am at the putin, the
VDGIF boat ramp on US 33 northwest of Richmond.
Participants so far: Joey, maybe Fran and Jan, Shorn and me.
You're welcome to join us.

Online gage says level is 2.8 rising slightly, 240 cfs.
I've paddled this section at 155 cfs, which I'd consider to be the bare minimum, a little scraping.
This is a small river, one rapid is a low class 2.
