Casselman PA Fort Hill access

The bridge at Fort Hill, PA crossing the Casselman is being replaced. The parking lot is gone, and take-out from the river is now a construction zone. There is no parking and no way to get off the Casselman at Fort Hill for the remainder of 2013. The next access downriver is at Harnedsville, adding 4 miles to the trip, where a little parking is available on upstream river left above the bridge. Parking is on the shoulder of the road. Not ideal. Tom McCloud

Guess we'll need a new "gauge" now ..... something other than number of bricks showing.

I have been told that we are allowed to park on the side of the road in front of the barriers at the Ft. Hill Access. It adds about 100 yards or so to the carry out, but is not too bad. We were able to get 4 cars/trucks parked roadside easily the other day, and although it's not ideal, but stil doable.
