OCT. SAT. OCT19, Shenandoah
The paddle before the gathering will be the Shenandoah, Newport to Whitehouse Landing. We'll meet at the boat ramp in Newport at 10:00. See ya there.
Whatever floats your boat
Re: OCT. SAT. OCT19, Shenandoah
After the paddle, please stay for the Coastals Fall Gathering
You can hang out at the Grove Hill Community Center or check out the Elkton Autumn Days Arts & Crafts Festival.
At 6ish we’ll have a catered dinner at Grove Hill with pork barbecue, chicken barbecue, mac & cheese, cole slaw, potato salad & buns.
We welcome desserts or additional side dishes to round out the meal.
After dinner, Linda Larsen of the Maury River Alliance will tell us what the Alliance is doing to preserve the quality of one of Coastals’ favorite rivers
Further details are in the fall issue of CaNews.

Hey I tried to send a PM to you (Martha) and its still in my outbox! Anyway I am unable to get out of Charlottesville until 930 and that puts me at the putin around 10:45, wondering if that is possible to still make the trip. I will be by myself and paddling a packraft! thanks
Jim

Come on Jim. We should be getting back from running the shuttle about that time so you'll be able to catch us.

Great see you then!
Re: OCT. SAT. OCT19, Shenandoah
Ken & I will be there - time to get out the Grumman!
Thanks, Martha.
I hope folks will stay for what sounds like a great (& free!) meal, followed by what will be an interesting video & short presentation on efforts to clean up the Maury River.
