OCT: April 12 Maury Rockbridge Baths or Balcony

Post by Raymond »

I’m planning to run Rockbridge Baths to Copper Road. The low water back-up will be the Balcony Falls section of the James. Check back Friday for confirmation.

Meet at 11:00 a.m. at the putin to set shuttle. Putin is Rockbridge Baths Post Office for the Maury; Locher Landing at Jarvis Trail, Glasgow, for Balcony. Make sure you don’t park in the Post Office parking areas.

This is a novice/intermediate level trip.

Respond here or call/email if you plan to join the trip.

This is part of our Spring Gathering, so I hope you’ll join us for a catered dinner at 6 PM at Glen Maury Park.

Provide your own beverages, and to round out the meal, consider bringing a side dish or dessert to share.

If joining up, please respond to Nancy Ronald’s Facebook or Coastals forum post so she knows how much food to order.

At 7 pm Appomattox River Company will present a program on new ideas and trends in boats and gear.

Respond here to let Nancy Ronald know you’re joining us for dinner:

Hurray for the rain. Bill Bennett and Jill Fiske are gearing up for a great day on the river with fantastic Coastal paddlers.

The level is holding at 323 CFS at Rockbridge Baths, so I'm planning to run the Maury.

See folks at RB by 11:00

The PO is open til 11, so just reiterating to please part across the road from it.

I hope to join, & likely Ken, too.

I cannot make it. Knees too painful. Don't want to hold up the group. Allen Spivey
